Bobby turns 5!

Bobby turned five on Saturday. Here are his 5th birthday pics. He was super easy this time at Penney's. That's the nice part about the kids getting older. Less hassle when it comes to picture taking. Birthday party pics coming soon.

Christmas and New Year's 2012

We had a really great Christmas and New Year's this year. The holiday season just flew by but it was so much fun. The ages our kids are right now (6, 4, 3, and 20 months) are just perfect for the Christmas spirit. They really get into the decorating and all the things that go along with the holiday season.

This year we decided to try something new with our families. We decided to celebrate Xmas with each family on separate days. Loading up the car in a mad dash (where we always forget something) on Xmas Day, rushing from one family to the next with four little kids  six and under is no fun. Everyone ends up cranky and exhausted, and both our families were feeling cheated on our time and energy. So after Xmas 2011 I felt it was really time to re-evaluate on how we spent this holiday. Our new solution: spending Xmas Eve day with one family and Xmas Day with another. It worked out amazing! Both families felt they got their fair share of us (not cranky!) and no one felt cheated out of our time and good disposition. And for the first time ever we got to wake up Xmas morning and just enjoy our kids opening gifts without the time limit or mad rush to get all dressed up and out the door. I'm hoping this tradition sticks and we can keep having memorable Christmas's for years to come!

As for New Year's Eve, Michael and I haven't been out in 7 years. But really it's no biggie. We never make to midnight anyway. Someday we will be grown ups again and get all dressed up and go out but for now it's pizza, sparkling cider for the kids, and $4 champagne for us (oh and playing Gangnam Style on youtube) . And I wouldn't have it any other way. Every holiday it always gets to me how truly blessed and lucky we are to have these four happy, healthy little yahoos in our lives. They are all the entertainment we need. Happy 2013!

Michael couldn't wait any longer to get Bobby a Red Rider BB gun. And no he didn't shoot his eye out.

Cousins (again)! I am pretty sure this is the last year they are all going to fit in a chair together

Here's the first pic we had Lilly take of Michael and I
And here's the second one (think it may have come out a little better lol)

Lastly we busted out our Waterford champagne flutes. Been married almost 7 years and this was the first time we have even opened some of our wedding china. $100 champagne flutes with $4 champagne! That's how we roll these days.

PS It's been freezing in the OC lately. Happened to get a pic of the two little girls all bundled up. Too cute!
