Loralee's 18 months Studio Pics

I took Loralee this morning to get her studio pics done. She was unsure about it at first but warmed up to the lady pretty quick. Enjoy!
Hmm wasn't too sure about this whole picture taking thing

Ok I remember how this goes. You make dumb faces and noises and I smile

I love the tongue. She kept doing that a lot.

And had to throw in a group shot we took the other day at home.

Loralee is 18 months old!

Loralee is 18 months old today. The infant days are behind us for good. She is my easiest toddler so far in personality with the sweetest disposition. On the other hand she gets into EVERYTHING. If Loralee can take it apart, climb onto or over it, or destroy it, she will do so gladly. This kid never stops moving. She is my only redhead. I am really loving my time alone with her when the other three kids are at school. It's our time together to play, just us. It also makes it 100 times easier running errands with just one kid in tow.

I'm excited yet sad about the next phase with our children now that we are done with babies. And YES we are done. One of my best friends Julie recently posted about this in her blog. And it is very true that you just know when that chapter of your life is over. After 6 years of carrying a diaper bag everywhere I am happy to say I have downgraded to a tiny backpack. I'm looking forward to going places with no stroller. But I will miss holding someone that fits in my lap. I will miss holding a sleeping infant in my arms and just watching them. I will miss having that baby that only has eyes for me and I am their whole world. I know my kids adore me but there are days coming where they aren't going to like me very much (those are starting!) or someone else will become their favorite. But parenthood is an adventure that does not come with a map or instructions and I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.

I took these pictures of her this morning in the front yard. Her 18 month studio pics are coming up soon. :)
The calendar says Fall but California says summer. Where else can you take pics in October in shorts and a tshirt?
I LOVE this pic of her. Think I need to frame this one.
She looks so grown up here. I really captured her red hair too.
