Heidi's 1st Birthday Party :)

Today we had Heidi's 1st birthday party. Her birthday is actually Oct 16th but we were trying to spread out the girls parties this year by doing Lilly's early in the month and Heidi's later. I'm really thinking the easiest thing to do next year is combine their parties. It's a lot of work to have two parties in one month!

We went with a Halloween costume party theme. I thought it would be fun for the kids (and most of the adults!) to get to wear their costumes more than once this weekend. It was quite the party and the kids really had a wonderful time. The Sponge Bob pinata was the biggest hit too! And to say Heidi enjoyed her cake is almost an understatement. She practically dove into it and tried to devour the entire thing. :)

Heidi in her witch dress. I tried my best to get her wearing the hat but she really isn't interested.

Heidi got such a kick out of Uncle Jeremy who dressed as Where's Waldo

The best one I could get of her with the hat on

Nope not wearing the hat mom! Nice try though! Oh and don't you love our pumpkin patch mirage in the background?

Bobby our fireman

What is it with my kids and wearing hats?!

Lilly as Scooby Doo. Not really in the picture taking mood. She changed costumes halfway through the party and decided to be Cinderella.

Nana the cowgirl

Birthday girl and her Dat

Where's Waldo, Baba, and Heidi

My brother Kevin as a Ninja Turtle. Believe it or not he wore this when he was like 8 years old!

My brother Jeremy  in the entire Where's Waldo get-up

My nephew Barrett as Charlie Brown

Heidi's little pumpkin cake my mom made her.

Next are the cake pictures. I think they speak for themselves so I won't comment on each one.

My helpers Lilly and her friend Sofia. They pretty much unwrapped all the gifts for me. :)

After her cake we bathed her and let her party some more.

Bobby really enjoyed an orange frosted cupcake too.

The infamous Sponge Bob pinata. Man the kids really enjoyed beating him up!

Barrett and Heidi on the changing table after her bath. He was pretty tired by then and ready to nap. She was all sugared up from the cake and ready to play.

I had to throw this one in. Lilly came home from school Fri wearing a spider hat that she made. I think it's adorable. Don't ask why she's wearing a swimsuit on a Fri afternoon in Oct though...I pick my battles with her.

Pumpkin patch visits of the past and present~

I thought it would be super cute to post all the pics we have from visiting pumpkin patches over the years. I'm starting with the oldest when Lilly was just about 2 weeks old and ending with all three of my kiddos this year. I still can't believe there will be four of them visiting the pumpkin patch next year! So exciting! I must admit I stole this idea from one of my best friends Julie's blog where she posted past pics of her boys in their Halloween costumes. I thought it would be cute to see where we started and how far (and how many kids!) we've come. :)

Birthday Girls weekend!

On Saturday Heidi turned one and on Sunday Lilly turned four! This first year with Heidi has gone by so fast. She is such a funny little thing. She's very sweet and loving and just wants to play with her brother and sister all the time (although they don't always want to play with her). Heidi has been able to stand by herself for 3 months now but still hasn't taken off walking. She will take about 3 to 4 steps at a time and then switchs back to crawling.

Lilly is still a fiesty, independent, but sweet girl. She loves to play with her tea set and watch Scooby Doo on TV. Lilly would spend all her days at school if I let her! Her other passion is dressing up and changing her outfits about 40 times a day. My girls are like night and day in personality and I wouldn't have it any other way. Here are the pics from our weekend of family birthday festivities.

My one year old baby girl Heidi!

She figured out how to ride the quad by herself!

Happy first birthday Heidi Jean!

Our birthday girls!

Heidi's new toy. She can ride on it or walk with it.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Our best shot of the whole gang

Cake time! She wasn't too sure about it. Mostly liked the frosting.

Happy fourth birthday Lilly Elizabeth!

I love this pic of her! It's such a Lilly look.

Singing happy birthday...again! She insisted on wearing her crown they made her at pre-school.

Another pic that is such a Lilly face!

Had to end this with a pic of Bobby wearing Mommy's sunglasses. He was just too cool to smile for me.
