A day at the beach

Although it's technically Fall it's been hotter in Huntington Beach this weekend than it has been all summer. So Michael and I decided to take the kids to the beach today. Michael took the older two kids for a swim while Heidi and I supervised from the shore. It was a great way to wear the kids out for the day.



Flashback Friday

Here is my flashback Friday pictures for today. These are all three kids around the same age. I love to compare them and see how alike or different they look as babies. I can't wait to see what this new baby looks like!

Heidi is 11 months old today! It's crazy to think that in just a month my girls will be turning one and four. Heidi is still standing on her own and will occassionally take a step. So one of these days she will figure out she can walk and just take off. But it's ok, there's no rush. She gets into enough as it is just crawling so we will really be in trouble when she decides to walk. For now she's happy climbing on all our furniture. She is so sweet and she is my cuddly girl. :)

School has started!

Today was the first day of school! Bobby started his very first day of pre-school and Lilly started her second year. Both kids had a great day and came home exhausted. I'm so glad Bobby didn't have any trouble transitioning from being at home with me all the time to being in school. He seems to really enjoy it so far. The cutest thing is that his teacher's name is Mrs. Paul but he only calls her Paul lol. She doesn't mind at all though which is good. It's hard for me to believe I have two kids in school now!

Lilly's first gymnastics class

Today was Lilly's first gymnastics class! She was absolutely thrilled to wear her leotard (which she wore most of the weekend as well) and I had a hard time getting her to wear something over it to class. Her class is pretty small, only 4 kids total so she gets a lot of one on one time with her coaches. It was nice for me to sit and watch and just get to spend an hour focusing on Lilly and her accomplishments. I will look forward to that time with her each Tuesday morning.

Today I took Lilly to one of her very best friend Sofia's 4th birthday party. It was our first "friend" party that we've gone to since we've only attended family parties so far. The party was held at a nearby gymnastics studio (the same one I went to as a kid!) that Sofia goes to and all the kids had a blast. Lilly was hooked within the first 5 minutes of exploring the gym. It was a great party and we ended up signing Lilly up for classes. So gymnastics here we come!
